Home/ AI & Copilot/ Readiness assessments

Find out what is safe to turn on.

AI amplifies whatever it is pointed at. Point it at loose permissions and Copilot will surface documents people were never meant to see. A readiness assessment checks the foundations first, so you know what is ready, what needs fixing, and where AI will actually pay off, before you spend anything on it.

Phase 01 · Readiness

Three depths, one honest answer.

Pick by how much is riding on it

Every assessment ends the same way: a written report you keep, naming what is ready, what has to be fixed first, and a clear go or fix-first recommendation. If the answer is not yet, we say so. All prices are NZD and exclude GST.

How it runs

What actually happens.

No mystery, no theatre
Step 1

We look, you carry on

Read-only access to your Microsoft 365 tenant and a short conversation with whoever knows where the bodies are buried. Your team does not stop working while we do it.
Step 2

Findings before conclusions

We walk you through what we found before we write the recommendation, so nothing in the report is a surprise and you can correct us where the context matters.
Step 3

A document you keep

The written report is yours whether or not you do anything else with us. It is specific enough to hand to another provider, which is the point.
Who runs it: the assessment is delivered by our senior engineers, the same people who run the Microsoft 365 and identity environments underneath it. That matters, because most readiness findings are identity and tenant configuration problems wearing an AI hat.

FAQ

You need to know two things before Copilot is switched on: who can currently see what, and whether your licensing actually supports it. If you already know both with confidence, you may not need a paid assessment. If you are not sure, an assessment is cheaper than discovering the answer through an incident. Book the free session and we will tell you honestly which of those two you are.

Essential at $1,499 + GST if Copilot is the only question. Enhanced at $3,500 + GST if you want the use cases ranked and a roadmap you can budget against, which is where most businesses land. Advanced at $7,995 + GST if AI has to clear a board, a regulator or an auditor. If you are unsure, pick "not sure yet" on the form and we will recommend one, including recommending the cheaper one.

A written report naming what is ready, what needs fixing first, and a clear go or fix-first recommendation. Enhanced adds ranked use cases and a 90-day roadmap. Advanced adds a drafted AI policy and a board-ready summary. The report is yours to keep and is specific enough to hand to another provider.

No. It is a fixed-price piece of work with a document at the end. Plenty of assessments conclude that the right next step is fixing identity and access before anyone thinks about AI, which is work you could do yourself or with someone else.

Essential is typically a week from access to report. Enhanced usually runs two to three weeks because it involves conversations across the business, not just the tenant. Advanced is scoped to your size and confirmed in writing before we start.

Know where you stand,
before you spend.

An assessment is the cheapest part of any AI programme and the only part that can tell you not to do the rest. Start there.

And relax

Getting started is the easy part.

Onboarding without drama

We do the switch: your current provider, the migration, the handover, all of it. Most teams barely notice the cutover happened.

Everything looked after

On the right plan, compliance, reporting and budgets are handled inside the partnership. You run the business; we run the IT underneath it.

Your QBR writes itself

Quarterly business reviews are generated automatically from your live environment: spend, posture, recommendations and roadmap, ready for the board, reviewed with your account manager.

The honest bit: the full looked-after experience comes with the right plan. We charge fairly for what we take on, and when costs step up it's because you are taking on more, always moving in the right direction.
