When you open Nod32 you will need to click on Help and Support and then About ESET Nod32 Antivirus. This will either be 2.7, 3.0 or 4.0. Scroll down this page to find the appropriate instructions for your version of Nod32.
THIS TUTORIAL WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO CHANGE THE NOD32 SETTINGS AND REMOVE (or add) THE ATTACHED SCANNED NOTIFICATION THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE BOTTOM OF ALL EMAILS.
Version 2.7
NOD32's IMON module is a multi-functional montior which uses advanced heuristics to scan HTTP and POP3 email communication. As a result, IMON can be configured to add a notification message to the bottom of all incoming mail, stating that the email message has been scanned and is not infected. While it is not possible to change this notification, IMON can be configured to disable it or add it only to infected email messages.

Important! Microsoft Outlook users must also adjust the notification tag settings in the EMON module.
For instructions on configuring notification messagages in IMON, please see the steps below:
-
Open the NOD32 Control Center by clicking the icon in the Windows notification area or by clicking Start →All Programs →Eset → NOD32 Control Center.
-
Under Threat Protection Modules, click IMON. The IMON – Internet monitor window will appear to the right. Click Setup in this window (See Fig. 1-1 below).
Fig. 1-1
-
The IMON Setup window will appear. Under Append tag messages to email, select the desired option. In Fig. 1-2 below, the notification tag will be applied to Infected email only (recommended). To disable email tags for all messages, including infected messages, select No notification.
-
You may also configure NOD32 to automatically alter the subject line of infected emails. To change the subject line of infected email, select the Modify the subject... check box (See Fig. 1-2 below).
Fig. 1-2
If this option is selected, IMON will add the specified string before the original subject of each infected email (%VirusName% is a variable and represents the name of the virus detected). This makes filtering infected email easier, as it allows you to filter such email (if supported in your email client) to a separate folder.
-
Click OK to finish. All received messages from this point forward will contain the new notification settings. Any previously received emails will not change.
