What is the Managed Services product that Belton IT Nexus offers?
Managed Services is an Belton IT Nexus product which encompasses a set of IT services managed and delivered through a model known as Managed IT Services.
Traditionally IT Services are managed via the Break-Fix model – a reactive model in which engineers would respond to an IT problem and fix it.
In contrast, the Managed IT Services model of servicing is all about monitoring and proactively maintaining, securing, and supporting your IT systems to avoid failures, minimize downtime. Implementation of Managed Services leads to increased availability and increased business productivity.
Why did Belton IT Nexus adopt this service model?
We believe that the SME sector of the business community has similar technical concerns and deserve the same level and quality of services that many large organisations have. However, due to many small organisations either not having access to reliable technological help, or avoiding the use of external technology help due to cost concerns – the possibility of running an expensive IT ‘tab’ - many do not receive the necessary service response.
We found a major difference between large organisations and an SME is that SMEs lack risk assessment and/or have a limited budget. In today’s complex IT environment the traditional reactive models do not suit every business. Reactive models do not provide the guarantees needed for system stability and availability – something that is crucial for every SME and SOHO in business today.
This led our team at Belton IT Nexus to adopt the Managed IT Services model and develop the SME Services product. With its monitoring component and proactive nature we are able to deliver a level of service usually only available to large organizations - at prices that an SME can afford.
How is the SME Services product paid for?
SME Services is an ongoing membership plan that will allow your employees to get the support and training they need, when they need it, for a flat fee. This membership is sold on a monthly or annual subscription basis with a node-based fee structure.
